The Drawing Room, which benefits from air conditioning, is an ideal location for a small reception (up to one hundred) or the more intimate lunch or dinner parties (up to forty eight). It is also the anteroom for drinks before lunch or dinner in the Banqueting Hall. Please view our 360-degree Virtual Tour. The room reflects the strong influence of the Arts and Crafts movement in the design of the Hall. The walls are hung with an original tapestry designed by William Morris and made on his looms at Merton. Among other portraits of former Ironmongers is one of Isaac Walton, author of The Compleat Angler, whose dower chest for his second wife is in the possession of the Company. This room can be further adapted for smaller presentations. |
